In 2015, Kelly Ottaway was commissioned by Clarence City Council, in the city of Hobart, Tasmania, to write this suite as part of the Clarence Jazz Festival's Artist in Residence program, and in conjunction with the 21st anniversary of the Clarence Jazz Festival.

The creation, recording and performance of this work could not have been done without the support of Clarence City Council, Clarence Arts & Events and very importantly, the Clarence Jazz Festival. Also, my thanks to the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music for the use of the recital hall and recording facilities.
